I've been trying to come up with a reason for needing a Ural 2WD, but haven't yet.

But yeah, one of these days....

I got a 98 Dekko about 3 months ago.  It has  been a blast.   As long as you don't think of it as a motorcycle no problem.   Lol  You  don't have to wait for a new one and the 2 wheel drive is just not used that often.

I love the look of the Ural and the vintage feel, but the engine is the turn off for me. If they updated the motor and /or transmission so the bike could run 75 or so, it would probably be about as perfect as I could wish.

This is exactly what I was dreaming when we got 9" of snow last week. If I could either put an outrigger on the Multi or have an Ural,,, you would not have been able to get the grin off my face Bigsmile

For what the Ural does best you really dont need 75mph.  Mine cruises all day at 60, plenty fast enough for a sidecar rig.  I think I have had the most fun with it doing less than 30.

My poor Concours has been gathering a lot of dust since I got the Ural - easily the funnest vehicle I've ever had. It's sweet spot is about 60, which is as fast as I typically go on secondary roads anyway. It definitely is not a machine to spend a lot of time on the freeways with, though.

I cringed through most of the video.   Thumbsdown  I recognize the intent is to make it look like snippets from home movies from the 1960s, just a technique that didn't work for me.  And I wanted to strangle the singer.

I love my Ural.  It's outlasted six other stablemates in the garage.  If you want to do 75, you don't want a Ural.  I've had mine up to 80 on a long downhill and it was definitely an experience that called for focus.  And while a Ural will do 0-70 mph, 70mph-0 is not quite as easy.   Lol

Mongolian throat singing.  Good stuff. Still think the best was the Russian blues band Ural used in their promos.

OK, I'll admit to not knowing much about side car rigs, but I have to ask.  In England and Australia, where they drive on the left side, do they put the sidecar on the left or is it always on the right?  I think in the Isle of Man races I've watched the rigs have always been on the right side, and this is in a drive in the left lane country.

They do look like they would be a blast riding around in a little snowy mountain community.   Bigok

In Britain the hacks are on the left side of the bike, which I assume is also the case for South Africa, Australia, and Japan.   You know, those places where they drive on the wrong side of the road.   Wink
