Well as much as I joke about Harley's on this forum I just picked up an 08 Rocker today. Much easier bike to handle than it looks. You do have to keep the pressure on to keep the bike turning due to the 240 rear tire but it's a lot nimbler than I thought it would be. I keep reaching for the mid pegs because I've grown so familiar to my Bonnevilles. But I started to get use to the forward controls on my ride home from work. Plenty of torque to play with too.

What made you change your mind?  Or were you just having fun with the collective?

Mostly having fun. It's some of the owners attitudes that can turn me off. I've had a Victory and a Stratoliner too. The Strat was a great cruiser (that 1900cc V-Twin is an awesome engine) but it's really made for bigger riders, the guys that are few inches over six feet love them. The Rocker has really nice ergos for someone 5'7' like me. And from riding with a lot of Harley's I've come to  see how nice they really are. The fit and finish is top rate and they're as reliable as everything else, plus you have the dealer network and parts availability. You can see the difference between this bike and the metric cruisers I've owned. I still have my Triumph Scrambler too.

Yeah it's a great cruiser engine. Plenty of torque for everyday riding. And pretty smooth too. Not quite as smooth as Star's 1900cc V-Twin. But the 96B feels more powerful than I was expecting.

They really should put that engine in the touring frame. I love the "B" engine. Just not a huge fan of how many of the soft tails feel and handle. I prefer the dyna frame in that regard.

Geez...tough crowd. Picked it up yesterday and put about 70 miles on it. It's getting too cold to use it for commuting.

That does it.  If I check back here one more time and don't see the image of the new Rocker, I'm putting you on ignore.   Lol

Good for you.   Thumbsup I was just kidding previously - those Rockers are pretty cool bikes and I hope you keep us updated.
