Seems WAY overpriced to me. Farkles don't add much value to used bikes. $8K seems more reasonable, especially since it still has the stock shock (a weak point IMO on the Tiger).

My thoughts exactly. They are trying to justify the price by calling it a piece of history.

PRICE: $10,900   Lol  EEK! Lol

It's funny when the accessory dealer tries to get 100% return on their accessories.  That's not a bad Tiger at all, but he should cut his farkle price by at least 50% - you KNOW he wrote them all off on his taxes anyway - it was a show bike.

agreed -- this ride is way overpriced . . . that's what the bike wnet for new, for goodness sakes. . . . . . .

the chance of one rider wanting all of those mods, and being willing to pay list for em is not very likely, I think . . . .

make 7.5 or 8, and I think it would be realistic

I don't know if the price is THAT bad.  KBB has a 2007 Tiger ABS at about $8100.  They list just over $5,000 in farkles.  Halve the farkles and you are at $10,600 give or take $200.  Plus it was just serviced for the 12k service, which I assume is valves and such.

So, offer them $9500 for all of that and it isn't a bad deal at all IMHO.  Especially if you take into account all the time to fit all those items onto the bike, shipping for all the items you didn't pay, etc.  Of course this is assuming the buyer would have ordered all that is on the bike in the first place, but still, it doesn't seem that out of line.

$8100 value for a 07 Tiger ABS with 12k miles is very idealistic.  $6k-$7k is more likely, imho.

But you're right, the value of this Twisted Throttle bike is not that bad when you consider all the stuff on there.  $9500 would be a reasonable offer, I agree.

The problem with buying a company vehicle is nobody cares about it. It's like buying a rental car. Ridden hard, put away wet, redlined at mile 10, what do I care it's the company bike. I'd rather buy somebodies baby.

Let me start by saying that I work for Twisted Throttle.  I am having trouble logging in as them so I used my personal log in.

The price has been dropped to $9,999.

Without creating a great debate we are not charging retail for all of the farkles.

The break down of goodies is here: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/article/articleview/396/1/9/ and the retail price of these items is $5,842.  Not all of the items are products we carry.     We used Kelly Blue Book retail value which is  $8,185 as of 12/16/10.

I can also say that is bike was not abused.  Around here our bikes are used primarily for design of new products, demonstration at shows and group rides while on the road.  The employees do not have Carte Blanche to just grab a bike and go for a rip.  Trust me, If I had the extra scratch it would be mine.

As I said before I am not trying to debate the pricing here.  I am just clarifying.  I will not justify anything more on this thread.  If someone has a valid question I will answer it.  If anyone is really interested call 401-284-4200

Kevin aka "nixoid" [at night] and usually "twistedthrottle" during the day.

Kevin == I think you may be taking this whole internet thing a little too personally.

I'm sure the scoot is in great shape, and all the additions are potentially adding to the value, no doubt.

The fact that it's still for sale, at a reduced price, means the market has spoken, I'm thinkin  . . .

Not a slam on you (I don't know you) or Twisted Throttle (from whom I've enjoyed great service), just an observation.

It's what happens on the net.
