Saw it at the Dallas Show this last weekend.

By the time I got there, Suzuki booth was first (Meh, nothing new there), Honda second (couple of neat new bikes!), then Kawasaki, the new Ninja 1000 seemed pretty run of the mill.  Kawasaki booth was a little overwhelming due to layout and shear number of bikes.  So many model all mixed up, no real order that they started to blend.  The Ducati booth was best layout by far!  Pure entertainment there!

Well as it happens I owned and rode the wheels off an '86 ZX1000R Ninja for most of the '90's when my kids were little. I doubt if they've changed much........

Hey Eddie, boy they sure gave you the business. Gotta watch that grammar.

The answer to your question is no. There is a Ninja 1000 in my near future and that was one of the cons.

But keep yours eyes on Twisted Throttle / SW-MOTECH because they have one for the Z1000.

You have a reply from SW-MOTHECH? I ask because the center stand I referenced above was not for the newest generation of Z1000s.

I would love to get a center stand for the N1K.

I don't think it's possible to mount a center stand with the stock exhaust. The main muffler and cat are mounted where the center stand would normally go.
