I didn't realize 1KPerDay knew that a Triumph forum existed.   Headscratch Lol

It seems like the Tiger 800 is going to have more non-RAT folk looking at Triumph than with many of the previous models.   Thumbsup

Very disappointed with the lack of adjustability on that front fork. Jeez Triumph... that was one of the achilles heels of my old 955 and so much has been written and whined about since that model was introduced. Mind you, that is also the case with the BMW800 so for Triumph, there is little risk in terms of showroom comparisons.

I should add that otherwise, it seems a really great and well thought out machine.  Will definitely try and get a test ride on the XC.

I'm not all that disappointed, in that I'm not gonna be in the market for a bit --

but I will say that a couple of dealers I've spoken to have repeated that Triumph is very sensitive to keeping priced down so they are not within range of similar BMW models . . . . I would not have thought of them as competitors, but my meteoric rise to the top of the motorcycle marketing heap speaks for itself.

I agree with your last comment, but it would be nice to see quality suspension (street triple/ R) from the git go rather than "we've installed cheesy bits just like the BMW" so that's good enough. Raise the price and/or offer a "R" package, it is soooo much cheaper to do this at their level than making the new bike owner shop aftermarket.
