That right there is the biggest surprise yet. Not only the absolute price, but also the mere $500 ABS option.

Go, Honda!  Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup

That's pretty surprising, and very respectable.

That's a pretty good price - slightly less than a Speed Triple, with similar specs and single-sided swingarm.  I look forward to you buying one, Smoker!   Wink

That's how it's been with me. I've cycled through far too many bikes (and far too much $$$) trying to accommodate the wife's comfort.  Sad

Test rides fellows.  Why buy if you're not sure it's going to work out?

Back on topic.  I'm amazed that they put a competitive price on this thing.  So how will they screw this up?  My guess is they will underestimate demand and create a false shortage.  If there's a way to screw up the sales of this thing Big Red will find it.

The only way to make it work for Andrea is to keep the FJR. My next bike will be a solo rig only. I'm buying/building her some new furniture for Christmas, so hopefully that will butter her up enough for me to spend some money next year. I really like this bike, but I'm not sure it's the one I really want. I think I'll wait and see how the Kawi and the new Speedy do over the next few months, and make a decision then.

I don't know if the puke green would have sold well here.  But silver, red, white, or ANY other options would have been nice!

I don't like the red/silver. Looks too much like the Failure 1200, er, I mean the Viffer 1200.

I really liked the metallic candy apple red that Honda offered on the 919.

Would be perfect on the CB1000R

I agree that the new tricolor Euro-only scheme is a bit too "Team Honda"; however, I was referring to the straight mono-colored bikes as offered to the Brits and Euros.

If the black version had the gold wheels and forks of the tri-colour version, it would look extra nice.
