The plugs were designed to work in an oily environment.

OMG my grand-pa had one of these. The only difference was he didn’t have the rear seat and the oil sight glass. His also ran perfectly and all original from the factory. The bad part was he sold it, because me and my brothers and one sister wear fighingt over who was going to get it.
I would have loved to have it.  Inlove

Tank-top tool box, and spark plugs designed to operate in an "oily environment" - how prophetic.  Lol

Bashing aside, very cool video and a fascinating view into the past.

Anyone who cracks wize about this particular HD has no motorcycling soul. It still runs and it pre-dates BMW bikes by at least 10 years.

A wonderful posting and linkage.  Thumbsup
