Nothing definite but I'm kinda thinking about making my first IBA ride west across TX and NM and a few miles into AZ on I-10. If I can get away, it would be one day the last week in December. Is there anybody in the area who would be willing to be a witness?

Catch the 3 sisters on the way out. They are southeast of Kerrville. The rest is pretty boring if you take I-10. The best riding is north of i-10 to Cloudcroft and Ruidoso area then cut down to Demming and back up to Silver City. From there you can catch a little of AZ by riding up AZ199 to Alpine AZ (Elevation 9000ft). The ride up to Alpine is one of the best rides I have been on. But..... I wouldn't do it in the Winter unless you knew ahead of time the road was open. I can see by your gallery that you have ridden the snow before. Here is a recent thread on that road.

You can plan on attending our Region 2 annual ride in May. We will be going to Taos/Red River. Usually 1/3 the guys are from Texas, 1/3 from Arizona, and the rest from OK and NM.

I now have the LIBERTY to get on and ride anywhere in the world I want to go, without worry.
A new bike...Priceless.

Thanks, Kwixtar. US191 looks like a blast! I'll add that to my list. Weather permitting, of course, I want to see the Grand Canyon and 4 corners, that is after I complete the Iron Butt Saddlesore 1000.  EEK!  Crazy I'm hoping to find a rider willing to meet me around San Simon or Wilcox to witness the 1000 mile mark and report to the IBA. On the way back, time permitting, I plan to ride down to Big Bend and then spend a day with the sisters.
