I had an ST1100, got rearended and was looking to replace it with ST, C14 or FJR, I picked the FJR over the ST and C14, I read MCN comparison and the FJR came out ahead, very happy with the FJR.

Well, I've owned 2 ST1300's and just bought my 3rd FJR. The ST is a great bike (but I liked my St1100 better). Wind protection is a bit better on the ST, it is of course smoother (but the FJR isn't bad). The larger gas tank is nice but it does require high test gas. It's heavier but not by much..that said it feels biger. My only real problem with it was the heat...it it was above 80 outside I didn't want to ride it. If you are doing a lot of 2 up it may be better as I think it has a bit more room. I've ridden both on 5000 mile trips and was comfortable on both.
