aftermarket grips

In a few weeks, I will be ordering a National Cycle Deflector windshield for my Buell... as well as a set of Cortech sport saddlebags & tailbag from Motorcycle-Superstore. I will be mounting the stock 7/8" handlebar again... & will need to add a set of grips to the order as well. The last set I picked up locally were Grab On Comfort grips. These foam grips were plenty comfy & grippy for me... but deteriorated after 2 seasons. I would guess that UV deterioration caused the cracking & missing chunks.
Any input on the other grips in stock at Motorcycle-Superstore? I do not anticipate going to heated grips.

DOn't know who might stock these (or like them) other than Dennis Kirk, but I really like gran tourismo grips -- they are barrel shaped, like you hands . . . . . .

I use grip puppies over the stock grips. They're like the grab ons but because they go over the stock grips, they're thicker, which I find more comfortable. They don't last long, but they're cheap enough that I don't mind replacing them.

My uncle gave me a pair a couple of seasons ago. I plan to use them on any bike I can from here on out.

I've been using BMW Sport Grips on my non-BMW for a few years. Super comfy and still retains excellent feel.

Progrip GP series here. They have lasted
and the bike lives outside.
Very comfy for me, but I hate anything with too much gel in it.

Looks like Pro Grip is what I will add to my cart...
http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/68/4647/ITEM/Pro-Grip-842-Gel-Duo-Density-Cruiser-Grip.aspx
Will post up some pics in a few weeks when the parts come in... & the install starts.
My storage shed is packed fairly tight this winter... I may have to work around any wet/snowy days.

+2, I use these as well. They are cheap, so when the deteriorate, just replace them.

I bought A set of o-rings that go over the old grips. They make the grips bigger, so easier on the grip. They also let the heat come through them just fine. I purchased them from Excel Cycle Werkes. Looks like they are pretty much a life time fix, and not a bad price.

Another vote for grip puppies. Being thick they're less tiring to my hands.

Ok, since OP got his answer I'll feel free to hijack.
I need a new set of grips for my S1000RR. I like nice hard grips of moderate dimension, not sticky/squishy gel, not oversized grip puppies, not anything exotic. I'd buy the BMW ones if they sold them, they only sell the part with the throttle tube in it for $92.
Actually BMW uses tubes on BOTH sides, so whatever it is I have to buy two sets and use only the throttle side grips. My key feature is that they be 125mm; I *hate* fighting with too long/short grips. Why the manufacturers refuse to print this critical piece of info on their packages is beyond me.
Suggestions?

Just for historical purposes in case someone finds this down the road while searching for BMW grips, BMW indeeds sells the sport grips alone without the tubes, heating elements, etc. I've bought 3 sets over the years, the most recent set being in October 2011. Part nos. 32 72 1 458 395 and 32 72 1 458 396. BMW lingo is "handles".

They are excellent! I dislike over sized grips!
