To enhance my sport touring - I installed an aftermarket exhaust

Here's some photo's of the Arrow RaceTech titanium exhaust on my 1200F model. It comes with a DB killer which i removed.

Now when i pin the throttle at low rpm in 1st , it high lifts the front wheel at around  6500-7000rpm. No would do that before.

There's not a soft rev limiter on this thing and it hits hard if not watching out. I wish it would rev another couple thousand rpm.
Anyway, the high rpm wail is unlike any street bike i've ever heard. Sounds studley running through the twisties.

It certainly helps the looks of the bike. Thumbsup

I'm also happy to see a new VFR owner post.  There's been a lot of talk about this bike but no owners here to provide input.

Why'd you bother to black out your license plate?  You're the only one within a thousand miles who owns one of those (except dealers).  Twofinger

I did see one VFR1200 up at Snowshoe WV this past September, was that you I passed?

Nice bike!

I think it is funny the way exhaust positioning has changed with style in the last 10 years.  I think the position of that exhaust and angle at which it is mounted was the same as my original bike...10 years ago.  Not a bad thing,,,just making an observation.

Akrapovic  makes both high exit and low exit to clear hard or soft luggage. Bos makes one that's adjustable.

Chassis steering geometry that's on the sporting side- it has it at 25.5 castor/ 101mm trail. The motor is placed forward. The distance from the rear axle centerline to the crankshaft centerline spans 37.5 inches of the 60.82 inch wheelbase. Front end feel mid corner is excellent and it changes direction well.

Bridging two wires on the Gear Position Switch gives the 25 missing power back under 6k rpm and with a good aftermarket muffler they make 160-165 RWHP .

Not bad for a Honda. I didn't think HP was in the current gene pool.  Razz

Just got back from a nice backroads ride .

I want higher rate front fork springs - i think it will better things all around and help make it feel a bit lighter. Put the front brake on at standstill, push down on the bars and it stays there Lol It gets air on the same sections of test track that the Busa does, just lands harder. I don't like that but fork springs for the fix. The rear spring on full soft seems OK, just OK, but the front needs tuned up bigtime.

I also found this that illustrates what i was saying about the forward motor positioning verses the 90 degree 800cc bike.

Yep it definitely will if you want it to. He's talking about an unintentional power wheelie.
