I like the simplicity of it.

Looks like a long wheelbase, no?

With that kind of wheelbase that bike won't turn very quickly.

It may look bad-ass but it probably handles like shit and will shake itself apart in no time.

I always snicker from the irony when people try to re-invent the Buell Lightning and always come up short.  I've ridden my friend's Lightning 1200 Long (XB12Ss) and that bike is one of the best handling hooligan bikes around with an engine that matches its attitude.  It's no wonder Buell sold more Lightnings than Firebolts.  Think of it as the Wakan that has been tamed for practical street use.  It runs circles around the XR1200 in every performance category and then some.

Having said that, this Roland Sands XR1200 is a nice looking homemade motorcycle.

I really don't see the point of a road bike that can't be ridden on road and isn't a race bike either. It's like it is a motorcycle shaped decorative doily. Making a bike look cool is great ,but at what cost to function?

"doily" is a word that I started using to describe all of the decorative crap that does not serve any useful purposeat all: examples, candles that you never burn, all of the stuff sold at those home interior parties (GF loved those). It was easier than learning what all of that crap's actual name was. If it does nothing or has no purpose (other than decoration) it is doily. I do know that this word refers to one of those lace things that goes on a decorative table. My spelling is quite likely wrong. As such that bike is not a race bike, has no lights or other street stuff so what the hell does it do?
