Review:

I have had this unit for a few months now and use it to hook into my Garmin Zumo 660 to access the media player every ride.  I also use it to connect to my phone.  This unit once paired usually recognizes the phone or headset through the GPS automatically.  There are a few times you will have to manually log it back on but is very easy to do.  I like the unit alot for the money paid.  The clarity in talking on the phone while riding is all about mic placement in your helmet and how much turbulence you are getting to your helmet from your setup on your bike from the windshield.

The unit works as described and toggling between songs and volume can be adjusted via the helmet module or through your GPS.  I suggest using the helmet module!

The unit seems to charge fairly quickly as well.

The only change I would suggest to R&D is to make the unit slimmer for sure and instead of the domed toggle maybe a flat or recessed style toggle.

Overall I rate the unit as follows on a 5 star rating:

Value paid- 5 stars
Fit- 4.5 stars
Function- 5 stars
Durability- 5 stars

Overall rating- 4.875 stars!

Really is a nice system.  As far as longevity........time will tell.

That's the beauty of this product.  One toggle dial that is large enough to operate with a gloved hand.

I've had mine for a few months now.  Bought one for my dad also.  I don't know why I went so damn long with using hand signals when this thing was out on the market.  This takes formation riding to a new level lol.  Inlove

I got a pair of these for my dad and I to use back around christmas.  Unfortunately, between weather, dad switching bikes, and my bike getting stuck in the body shop for a few months, we're just now kicking off our riding season.  Yesterday was our first time using these in intercom mode.  Overall I was pleased with the performance.  Good enough sound quality for chatting, even at highway speeds, and with earplugs in.  In fact, it was easier to talk to dad over these things than it is face to face, as he's slightly deaf.  With the Senas, I could just speak naturally, instead of repeating myself at increasing volume all day.

Range seemed to be about as advertised, 3/4 mile or so, a bit less when twisties and trees intervene.  We lost voice transmission a few times, but only lost the pairing itself once.

I've yet to really test the phone or music functionalities, but figure I'll do that today.

So far I'm really digging these little suckers.  Only drawback I've found is that I can't hum, as it trips the VOX, and annoys dad.  I never realized how much I did that, till he started griping about it.  lol.

wanted to touch base about durability.  Got caught in rain storm with pea size hail (that stuff stings like MF) any way, it lasted about 10 minutes.  The SENA was fine, didn't break the plastic casing, and it works as usual, I'm pleased.

Yeah seems to be pretty much waterproof.  I rode for about an hour with mine playing music in a heavy rain and it didn't affect it at all.

There's a thread on the FZ1OA Forum - from a Sena vendor - referring to an upgraded version of the SMH10 and a possible 'swapout' option for current owners.
