For those on the FJR Forum..... this will be a repeat message Smile

I have spent many hours on several forums learning from the experience of others regarding long distance riding/rallying. This year I get to take some of that experience and apply it as a rookie participating in the IBR this June.  As a way to say thanks to others and with the hope of possibly supplying inspiration to those just starting out in long distance riding, I will be posting on my blog several How To's: regarding Long Distance Riding.  Now, I have to say that I am a far from being an expert in all areas, as there are many others that have significantly more expertise than myself.  Most of what I have learned has been from the experience of others.  I just want to pass on some of thewealth of knowledge that has been shared with me.   Although my blog has a distinctive Yamaha FJR bias, some of the ideas you may get can be applied to any bike that you may be interested in modifying for long distance.

My first of many How To is Installation of Auxilary Lights.  Check out my article linked below and feel free to ask questions or discuss here and share with others.  Enjoy Bigok

Instead of hanging the lights on the brackets, put them on top of the brackets.

The higher they are the farther the throw
