All this freaking waiting for the new 2011 Ducati MTS 1200 engine map to cure the hesitation on light throttle, low engine rpm application and this:

THE one thing I did not want the new map to do (have a severely negative effect on fuel economy), and it does just that. Really?
Well the bike is so utterly, and devistatingly magnificent everywhere else I can put up with a bit of hesitation. There is no way I am going to sacrifice a 30-40 mile drop in range for that.

Bummer.
My 8 year old St4s fuels perfectly, sounds great with its DP pipes, has bags that don't leak and goes 250 miles on a tank of gas.
Such is progress...

Get the Power Commander V solution from Redline then...it'll allow you to make your fueling perfect along with the best gas milage possible for that fueling.

Not the Ducati sweet spot. My ST3 did the same thing but was perfect everywhere else.

Bah, I don't wanna hear your crap!
I can get a pipe, so whatever. My bags do not have the fix, and do not leak. My bike is faster, handles better, and adust the suspension at my will. I can do 220 miles on a tank. I can change power and traction control levels to suit conditions and/or my mood. Oh yeah, I can actually take it off road if I was feeling froggy enough. It's also the one bike with hard bags I have owned that gets
from chicks, and not just old dudes in red and day-glow yellow Roadcrafters. I can take those chicks with me on an actual trip. And the kicker is that it isn't a fuggin' barge!
Progress indeed...
I will see what folks are getting - real world - with the map and decide then.

Very confusing. I have a 2011 Multi and believe it has the 2011 update as my mpgs suffer everywhere but the highway. My question is are there 2 updates or 1?

Got an email from my dealer regarding the center stand and throttle cable recall notices. I spoke to them about the new maps for the 2010s. According to him, Ducati hasn't officially put out a recall notice for the new map yet. They mentioned it during the dealer conference, but nothing has been released.

Was the article updated? - there is no date on it, so can't tell. It now says the map was not the correct one and that the "right" one from Ducati is still to come.

My bike is part of the ECU reflash, it only died on me once, I really don't notice fueling problems, I'm on the throttle, the front wheel is skimming the asphalt, just as a a bike with 150 HP and 87 foot lbs of torque should.
I am going to modify my center stand by shortening the arm, and am awaiting a bag fix from Ducati.
I've thought about the DP exhaust system but the fact that it melts some of the fender and the turn signal has turned me off.

If it makes anyone feel any better, my Suzuki TL1000 would randomly die while coming to a stop. Suzuki just shrugged their shoulders instead of actually doing anything...
