The missus has decided she wants a new pair of boots for cold weather riding.  Her criteria is they must be black or at least mostly so.  They must also be warm.  My criterial is they must offer decent protection and be waterproof.  I wear Sidi On Roads, however they are a bit MadMax for her taste.  I also think they lack just a bit in the support/ankle protection department.

She normally wears a woman's size 7 with normal socks.

I'll jump in here, and I'll realize that the flames will shortly follow.

Check out the H-D FXRG boots.  Sturdy sole, all black, not too "Mad Max," waterproof, decent-looking support and protection.  They were certainly warm when I tried them on in the store.

They also run a bit narrow through the forefoot, so she'll have to try them on with the sort of socks she'll wear while riding.

Not all H-D shops carry the women's FXRG, so you may have to shop around.  Good luck.

Great boots especially for the price and warm and waterproof.  Worn mine going on three years now with no complaints.
