The finance guy at my local shop is a friend and when I was in there today I said wow, you have one of them there DN-01s. We joke of it every visit. He asked me if I saw the incentive he had put on it.

This ain't no joke children. This be real!

"Or take $3000 off a used bike".

So basically the DN-01 is $13,000 instead of $16,000.

Still $5000 too much.

I'm one of the few that think the DM-01 is really cool.  For an $8000 bike.

Throw in a new, naked CB1000R and I'll think about it.

They also have a nice 919. If they threw that in, well what would I do with the DN-01?

Yeah, its really cool if you're into things that look like hammered dog shit. Otherwise, there's nothing cool about it at all.

Look, I'll bash Honda as good as the next guy but...

Do you all really hate this bike?  Or just the insane price tag?
I think it's a really cool scoot, but should be priced like a really cool scoot.  Not like a really cool bike!

I'd put Flying Tiger stickers on it if somebody gave me one.  Thumbsup

Price tag sucks ass tho. Totally unrealistic.

I dunno -- like the man said -- if you stop  looking  for a motorcycle, and see a big scooter, it's pretty damn cool .. . . I'd buy one, but not anywhere near what they are asking . . . . . ground breaking design IS worth a premium, but building the worlds fastest Burgman isn't exactly groundbreaking.

It's not.  Gilera makes the GP800 super scoot.  That is the fastest scoot you can get.

It just looks too weird for me to have any interest in it. I like the Ruckus though.

But its $16,000?!? Holy shit! Even at a tick of 10 grand, I would laugh. No thanks. Honda fucked up, IMO.

I actually, umm, did a bit of research on the DN-01.  Ya know, when I was meant to be working..

Some shops are offering it at $9000.  An incredible 40% drop in price.
But then I read some tests.  And they all say the riding position is horrible.  And it's a dog.  And it has no storage space. And little cornering clearance..

But I still think it's kinda cool, in that "hey look at that, it does exist!" way...

Pretty good deal on this scoot - not my style at all, but to the right person that's a great deal!
