Back on the forum after a four year hiatus. My friends call me 1TRAK as I spend the better part of 12000 miles each year riding on and off road. I enjoy riding THE PACE, road trips, bike camping and dual sport riding/ camping. I'm up for a ride anytime and look forward to meeting and riding with some of you soon. Only eight weeks till spring!

Or you can ride now. There are many great people in Region 4. See you riding or at a future lunch gathering. Just look for the c-14 with the front tire barley on the pavement.

Welcome and stay tuned. We need to repeat our 1st Annual Michigan campout this summer. There are many lunch gatherings all year round. Check out the photo tag game too. It's a great way to pick a destination for the day.
I'd be out riding now, but I can't see the pavement!

Welcome! South Haven? Benton Harbor? How far SW? I'm just south of GR. We had another active GR guy, but he just left us for awhile.
We'll hook up for lunch meets. I have an STN BBQ at my place on June 11:
http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/index.php/topic,59425.0.html
We'll have a couple lunch meets before that I would guess.

I do get the Dizzer out in the snow occasionally but haven't this year yet. See you when it warms up.

Thanks for the reply, I'll be looking for those lunches and day rides. Lots of great places to ride and camp in Mich, HY 22 along the west coast is one of my favorites.

Sounds good! I live near Allegan and do a lot of street and dirt riding around here and Yankee Springs. When the roads clear lets roost some dirt or chase some twisties, your choice.

Cool- the XR's a pig, but works for either. I love Yankee Springs- it's a great place to run with the Tracker. I spent a day ripping around the Allegan State Game area this summer on the XR. Mostly two-tracks, but fun!

Had a 93 and 01 XRL that were decent at anything short of tite singletrak, I put a lot of miles on those bikes! Noticed on the sled post some rear racks on the XRL, how do you like that bike for traveling? Looking forward to riding Allegan and Yankee Springs with you, I've ridden these areas 30 plus years and have some nice routes. See Ya!
P.S. That Tracker looks great, bet those megaphones sound sweet!

Hey, welcome back!
One word of advice though... If your a cat lover stay away from CLAY. Next to a Chinese restaurant, no one kills more cats than CLAY!
If you value clean air, stay away from WIBORNZ, his farts are so stinky, his wife has to vacate the car when he lets one rip!
Seriously though, great group in Region 4!

Thanks for the welcome. Seems like an ok group here, surprised they all furloughed at the same time though. Jonesville and hot dogs sounds good, then maybe a jaunt north to Waterloo and Pickney State Recreation Area. Hope you run out of sunblock

Thank you for the greeting, glad to be here. Kudos to those riding year round, I understand the need. Years ago a few of us would spoon on the trellies or cold cutters and have at it on the ice or singletrak till spring. Lot of work but worth it at the time. Last few years we've gone down to Bedford Indiana late Feb for a weekend of riding, by then there's generally no snow and the temps hit mid forties daytime. A few weeks after that it's SPRING and we're good to go.

I rode 102 miles of great desert ranch roads yesterday on the DRZ. It was 68 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. The locals were wearing jackets down here and asking if it would ever warm up! They can't wait until SPRING! HUH? That should start the finger flying.... New Mexico is motorcycle nirvana this time of year.

Well, I'm NOT going to Hawaii on the bike and Nunavut is inaccessible by land vehicle.
I have an ambitious riding season ahead. June will fill in the western Provinces of Canada and Alaska. September might see me on the east coast if finances recover in a timely manner from June.

Sounds like fun despite the temps and lack of clouds.
Like your choice of bike!
