I was wondering if there was anyone wanting to ride east from Wyoming sometime in July?  I live in the Middle of Wyoming and the past few years I have gone to the west coast....would like to head east this summer, can't find anyone to go with me in my little town.    Ninja 650R

Thanks,

Craig

FYI Craig, it's a long freakin ride from Wyoming to the East coast. South Dakota never seems to end... I know.

Plus it's flat all the way until you get into PA. With so many cool states to ride in (Idaho, Oregon and Montana come to mind) why ride so far?

Just my 0.02 cents worth.

Can anything good come out of Williamston? (I'm a Lansing native. Wink

It's all a matter of perspective and what you want out of a ride. I've rode my FJR from NC to WY and back, and again from NC to CO/NM. Each trip was 99% back/hick roads both directions. It TOTALLY changes the ride experience. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: (my soon-to-be-famous quote) "The backroads of America are still there -and no one is on them." (Can you quote yourself? Is that allowed?)

Avoid the 'freeway' like the plague, and you'll have a blast. BTW, one of the most enjoyable trips I've ever done was from Green River, WY into UT, then western CO, into NM, then east -by myself.

As always, YMMV.

Yeah, we are pretty much a bunch of Douchebags here in Williamston... Just ask Wibornz and G! Lol

If time were no consideration, I would have loved to take backroads. That damn thing called a job keeps on getting in the way of me taking off enough time to keep me from having some serious fun!

You still in Lansing?

Looking to do CO-IL in April, and might cross your path around July 7-9 going CO-SD.

Yup, in July will definitely be on I25 to Lusk then heading to the Black Hills. My daughter and I will be camping in Spearfish(SD) with about 70 other Honda ST owners and guests on other bikes.

If you are heading east on I90 stop by and say hi.

I have been thinking of doing a camping trip to Yellowstone at some point too. I will be gauging interest with friends in CO soon and try to agree on a date.
