Mildly humorous at best, but the production value is good and I like the idea.

I watched it...was pretty funny. Either Karl is a real life version of Homer Simpson, or he's a great actor. Everything is deadpan, and logically makes sense in a weird kind of way.
I was
when he watched the guy eating chicken embryos and scorpions.

Couldn't handle Borat, highly doubt I'll be able to handle this one. I just don't find people acting like idiots terribly humorous. Worse so if it doesn't seem to be an act.

I found this show On-Demand last night - watched the Preshow and the China Episode. I really enjoyed it - haven't laughed that hard in awhile. In retrospect, the guy is pretty normal in his outlook and not very idiotic in any pretentious or stupid way. He's just a simple guy talking his mind and it's pretty hilarious. Sort of an anti-travel show which is why it's ironic.
His take on China: The Great Wall really isn't that Great. The nice parts were only built in the 1980's and the rest is falling to crap. He says it should be renamed an "Alright Wall." He seemed pretty impressed with the Shaolin monks though.

I will never get the Borat thing. Awful.
I fully expect a series about the adventures of his sister.

Just did a search via DirecTV.... No upcoming shows for "An Idiot Abroad 2: The Bucket List"
According to the
Show's Web Site
, the show premieres Nov. 18 @ 10PM ET/11PM PT.
Then I find this on the Science Channel Web Page:
An Idiot Abroad 2 The Bucket List premieres January 21 at 10PM e/p on Science.
On DirecTV, the Science Channel is #284. The DVR is set up to record both First Runs & Repeats... in hopes it will record this past weekends Premiere.

Yes, it's the Science Channel. This is the show website -
http://science.discovery.com/tv/an-idiot-abroad/
. I'm hoping my DVR will pick-up one of the first episode repeats. The next episode is Saturday, 10pm EST.

I thought the guy reminded me of you.
It's not "Borat" style humour. Watch an episode I suspect you may find it funny. I do.
Imagine a real homebody who mistakenly takes an adventure holiday. It's sort of like that.
