Well I'm officially a fly puller, after two years and almost 30,000mils. later...
I had the bike torn down for winter maintenance, clean K&N air filter, check all fasteners under the plastic, ect. and figured WTF..(99.9% who pulled the flies are happy.)
Easy peasy, screws came right out no heat with old worn out short phillips screwdriver?  Thumbsup  After reading all the horror stories, go figure?
I'm running a K&N airfilter, Two Bros exhaust with their Juice Box installed.
I have the Juice Box turned off except for a very little fuel added during full throttle high rpm operation. When I ran the Two Bros suggested map the bike ran very rich, fuel mileage was poor, very poor.
I won't get a chance to ride for a couple weeks too see if the Juice Box will need to be adjusted from my current settings.

I have read fly's out OK except a little lean in upper RPM's, so I'll run my current map setting to start.
If anyone is running, K&N (or BMC) air filter,  TB exhaust, fly's out, with their Juice Box installed, care to share your settings?
When I get a chance to ride I'll post my thoughts and Juice Box settings, but most important how much better the C14 will run.....
Is it spring yet? Sad

I pulled mine as well Sam.  Yesterday was the first ride without them.  Wow, what a difference.  Stuff actually happens when you twist the throttle now...amazing.  I could not get over how hard it pulls in 6th gear at highway speed.  You go from a 4 point ticket to jailtime at an unreal rate.  Bigsmile

All kidding aside I think it will really help when I ride two up because the power is there instantly now.  Before there was always a pause between the throttle application and the power coming on.  Now when you need juice it's always there which comes in real handy at lower speed, lower RPM maneuvers.

Sam,
Awaiting your update from removing the flies.

Much improved low end throttle response.  Thumbsup
Just off idle up to  six grand was pathetic for a motor this size with VVT., fly's in..

Now  EEK!....
All during the first ride I kept hearing what 99% of all that did this mod said, " it's how it should have came from the factory".
It feels like a different bike, like riding a much lighter sport bike.
I was starting to get bored with it, I was always on the gas.  I usually had to down shift twice for most passes.  Sad   Now, maybe once at best. Wink
If you haven't pulled them yet, do it...

Chris, an amazing difference for sure!  Thumbsup

I would suspect you would get a little cold riding around with your fly removed Lol
