Some people have a snappy answer ready for each, but I find the best approach is to just explain that it's made in Italy and has been for 90 years.

Now I have to figure out luggage. I have 2 Krauser K5 cases. I haven't seen any Krauser mounts for Brevas. I may be able to make the Krauser mount work with the factory Guzzi luggage rack. I think I would like 3 cases for traveling.

When I talked to them yesterday afternoon, they said that they actually have another new red 07 Breva 1100. That looks like the best deal on the East coast! The leftover Norges look like a good deal also! I would LOVE a Norge but I couldn't quite afford it right now.

I took a short ride on my Breva Friday at the dealership. I liked it!

Saturday, my son came home from college for a few hours to to check out my new bike and go for a ride. I had plans later in the day so we only got to ride for 2 hours.

We hit the twistiest roads in our area. We swapped bikes for a bit. My son really seemed to like my Breva. I don't think he was just being polite. That surprised me a little. He loves his SV and the it and the Breva aren't very similar.

The dealership did not get the factory luggage rack in for me. Oh well. That just gives me more time to decide between it and a Givi rack. I need to decide soon. I've gotten used to having a top case on a bike. I haven't decided yet if I will add side cases also.

I'm going to order the factory windshield.

I haven't decided yet between the factory heated grips or going with Dual Star grip heaters.



Likes:

The Breva turns very easily.

The ride is a pretty good compromise between cushy and sporty.

The seat is the most comfortable motorcycle seat I have ever been on.

The transmission shifts extremely smoothly. It is the best shifting transmission I have ever used.

Very nice midrange torque.



Dislikes:

I wish the pegs were mounted a little lower. My knees would appreciate another inch or 2 of legroom. Not that it is really uncomfortable but I think it would be more comfortable with a little less bend in my knees.


Neither good nor bad, just different:

The bike had more vibration than I expected. It's not the high frequency tingle like on an inline 4 cylinder. It's not uncomfortable, more of a low frequency rumble.

After-market adjustable pegs are available.  I believe you can gain another inch.

The dealership has 2 buildings. The service department is in a separate building across the parking lot from the showroom. The place looks to be just a few years old. Everything was very neat and clean there.

The dealership was very busy. I was told that 2 employees had gone to pick up 4 new Moto Guzzis. The people I dealt with there were very nice. They seemed to know their products very well. I did not feel pressured to buy or to buy quickly and get out of the way.

The dealership has a grill there. There seemed to be guys meeting up there for lunch and then heading out on rides. There were a lot of people riding up and hanging out. If I lived closer, I'd probably stop in regularly also.

They asked how I found out about their dealership. I told them that I had seen the dealership in Washington mentioned here on ST.Net and was amazed at their prices so I just started googling for MG dealrships closer to home. They told me that the dealership in Washington is the #1 MG dealership in the USA and that they are #2. They also said they are the #1 Aprilia dealership in the Southeast USA.

I was very happy with my shopping experience.

Thanks Daniel. That's another thing to put on my shopping list, along with a throttle lock.

Flip, IIRC someone got some Buell pegs, did some minor sanding and they bolted right up lowering about an inch.  They said they were pretty inexpensive, so you might want to check that out.

Beauty!  Congratulations.

You'll learn to love the rumbling.  The pegs are almost certainly adjustable.

Be sure to pick up Guzziology from the dealership up in Seattle, and add them to the list of places you'll ride your Breva to someday (perhaps on your way to Borscht).

FWIW, I have the Givi rack with the factory sidebags on our 750.  After the It's-Der-Korporation-or-$$$$ with my BMW and the warranty-voiding mods needed to make different accessories from Ducati Performance actually work together on the same bike, the flexibility and interchangeability with Guzzis is refreshing.  Last year we ran into a big Breva while out on the road with Garmin, iPhone mount, and shortwave radio setup.

On long trips in hot weather they can, quite suddenly, drink their oil, (They do run VERY hot and the oil works hard, use a high quality full ester syth or accept the consequences.) Fit a sump extension, the oil works easier and the engine runs cooler.

Well, I'm still buying stuff for my Breva. So far I have tried 3 different windshields plus a Laminar Lip. It looks like I am gonna stay with the factory shield with about 5.25" cut off of the top. I may try the tallest Eagle shield in the future.

I have also added:
Guzzi luggage rack with a Krauser adapter plate
Krauser K5 trunk with backrest
Hepco & Becker 30 liter side cases and mounts
O2 Optimizer
Factory heated grips
Bagster tank cover and tank bag
Hepco & Becker case guards (hope to get them on this week)

I have also ordered some Piaa lights and mounts that I may install on the case guards. I have to wait and see how much room there will be on the case guards and make sure they won't interfere with air flow to the engine.
