Fair warning, that power will hook you in, and you'll never want to be without it again.  Bigok

"Corbin Beetle Bags (Sending them back in to Corbin to be repainted. They're not rashed or anything, just showing their usage.)"
So if they aren't rashed what are we talking about, boot marks and minor scuffs/scratches? try some scratch remover car polish and a soft cloth and rub the hell out of them.
I've found that leg/hip pain is the biggest problem on the type of bikes I like to ride. The thing I dislike most about Corbin seats is they always go an inch or more lower on the seat height to compensate for the extra width. At 6'6" I'd take the money you were going to spend on repainting the bags and find a peg lowering kit. I'd also look into a Sargent seat or modified stock seat and peddle the Corbin on Ebay. I'd be doing the seat change if it were mine right off the bat, and my legs are probably 4" shorter than yours.

Advice noted. When I can actually ride this thing around a good bit I may very well agree with you and ebay the Corbin. As for the bags it's scuff/boot marks but also some light scrapes here and there (not rash) and most notably bubbled paint in 2 spots. (A black decal was put on by the previous owner to cover them up.)

I made that exact move myself. Sold a '97 BB, bought '99 Busa. The torque, my god the torque! Then came the turbo. Then came the MASSIVE speeding ticket. lol

The Heli bar risers really pull the handlebars up and back a good bit. It's not 'sit up and beg' but it isn't very far off. It feels very...right.

I'm pretty sure those Heli bars are discontinued - so consider yourself even more lucky.  I think the only risers available are the GenMar riser blocks.

Speaking as a reformed anal retentive, let the little shit go - you'll be much happier.
C'mon, would 'the Dude' care about a few scuffs?

Sweet.  And as previously noted the bike is reliable as anything.  71k on mine and, other than routine maintenance, I have replaced one fuel pump.  Congrats!

Congratulations on a great buy on a well loved bike.
I would probably not worry too much about the scuffs on the bags.
They are luggage.

Am I the only one who saw this thread title and thought you had bought a Victory? Headscratch
Maybe because my neighbor has had Victory's for several years.

Congrats.  You got the fastest color!   Inlove

You are correct, $4k would be a fair price for the bike, at $3k it is a steal (even without the Beetle Bags).  I have a 2002 as well.  Look at the intake cams for pitting (nothing to really do about but just to know) but more importantly, look in the plug wells for coolant.  Early 02's have porous heads.  My 02 is an early one, no porous head, but the #4 intake cam is pitted.  Others have reported over 60k with pitted cams and no problems.  Coolant in the plug wells is a problem that cannot be ignored - although at 19k probably would have already been a problem by now . . .

Don't know what you rode before, but learn to respect the Zed.  Once you get past 7k rpm look out . . .  Crazy
