well after trading her BMW R1100RSL for a mustang convertible a year or so ago. gwyn wanted a bike back ..  so been trying to sell the stang. or trade it for a sport touring bike.  no luck so far.. then as usualy happens when we buy a bike. stop by our favorite dealer.. and things follow us home.  well there was an 09 leftover suzuki bandit 1250s abs.   8k out the door with the 3 year everything included service plan.  that includes brakes, tires, oil changes , valve checks, battery. .. its in the faster black LOL. and she is in love..  i would have pictures but there is a recall that needs taken care of before taking it home.
should have it in a week or so.  need to get the hardbags on order to.  i am so glad to have my ridding partner back, even if she does have a bigger motor and faster bike than i do.. LOL.

well gwyn rode her new ride home this afternoon.  big grin.. says the bike is very smooth and handles great.. she is in love. .

Can't wait to see it. She will love the motor. May I suggest a couple of comfort mods that made a world of difference on mine?

Just ordered the Sargent seat. I let you know in a few weeks what I think. The first and foremost thing was a MRA Vario-tour wind screen from Twisted, Crash bars with pegs mounted for the stretching of the legs with out stopping. Just installed an inexpensive set of risers, give me a week and I'll report back on those. The Strom hand guards and Oxford heated grips are good for warmth on the days where you still want to get out but don't have heated gear. Oh yeah, the mirror extenders from Holeshot.com made it possible to see more than my elbows. Thumbsup

Congrats!  For the money, the bar risers are a must do.  It's one of those things you could probably live without but for a hundred bucks, why would you.  Makes a huge difference.  Same with the engine guard and the highway pegs.  Sure, you could do a long ride without stretching your legs but, duh.  Can't comment on the seat cuz I'm blessed with a stock seat butt but I can tell you Kim is no fan of the stock seat on the B12.  I'll leave it at that but...  yeah, I'll leave it at that.

That's one nice looking bike, and one happy looking wife. Woot! You scored on that deal.

As to black being faster, everyone knows blue has a much higher co-efficient of sliptivity, so it goes much faster  Wink Still, that is one sweet looking bike.

I picked up a 2010 GSX 1250 at my local dealer in December. Was priced to move. i tell, ya, it may not be as fancy as some bikes, but it sure is fun to ride.

Ive never heard of a bike warranty that covers tires, brakes and other wear items or service items like valve adjustments... Is it from Suzuki or some some outside company... A friend of mine who owns a Honda dealer was thinking of setting up a program sort of like that would be sold with the purchase of a bike and could be added to the  price and financed on the bike loan.

Shawn -

Nice Bandit!

Does that service plan include tires or just mounting and balancing?  Also, is there a limit to oil changes?
