We lost Destiny Motorsports in Syracuse last year as well. They got caught in the credit crunch, lost Triumph because didn't have the means to keep enough bikes on the floor (they were a one marque dealership), and tried to make a go of it as an independent shop selling used bikes. Really a shame, not only because it was the only Triumph dealership within 100 miles, but because the owners were an amazing bunch of guys and customer service and camaraderie was the rule, rather than the exception. Another victim of the economic times - they went from a gold level Triumph dealer with big plans, to being out of business in a year's time.

Apparently Pat Clark motorsports in Vegas shut down a couple months ago as well.  I'm kinda surprised to see them shut down as they are in such a good area.  Bad business management I guess.  It just sucks, because the Triumph dealer network is sketchy at best anyway.  I was already about 120 miles from my closest dealer in Boise and now the closest one is in Salt Lake City, 237 miles away.  Luckily Big Twin will continue to provide service for the euro brands still.  Thumbsup

Right, Big Twin will service them, but don't know about obtaining parts as they're no longer
an authorized Triumph dealer. Bikebandit.com has oem Triumph parts. Big Twin, as you know,
is small dealership.

There was a post on the advrider forum stating that Triumph would decide between two other
dealers in Boise/Meridian. MotoTech on Overland by Cole got the Aprilia franchise from Big Twin,
and reported in their monthly newsletter that they'll also carry Moto-Guzzi.

Hate to say it, but the increasing gas prices may help alot of dealers this spring.

It pisses me off to pay 15 bucks to fill up the bike but if you are trying to sell motorcycles it can be a good thing.
