Need to replace a headlight
«
on:

I discovered last night that one of my headlights has died. Is there any really good reason to use something other than the stock replacement for the low beams?
Thanks,
jdg

Unless your dealing with someone who knows what's what with regard to globes rather than just looking at the Guzzi parts book and ordering one in, (At outrageous expense!) from Guzzi I's just pop the blown globe out and take it down to Pep Boys/Napa/Wottalottacrap Auto-Electrics and match it up. The feed cables for the modern headlights are very puny and insubstantial. Whether they would be at risk by fitting a higher wattage globe, or if the reflectors would handle the extra heat, I dunno. I don't ride much at night because of the 'Roos and Wombats so lighting for me is a bit of a non-issue so I can't offer any firm inteligence on this.
