Tuesday I went to the local Kawasaki dealership to get an oil filter for my 2008 KLR650 and was stopped dead in my tracks because between me and the counter was a brand new left over blue 2009 ER6N with a price tag of $5399. Yes I bought it, $5910.45 out the door. I bought the '08 KLR650 in June of '07on a Tuesday, for $5888.20 out the door. I had gone there to get an oil filter for my 2006 KLR650, price tag $5885.45 out the door. When I got the 2006 KLR650 I had gone there, on Tuesday, to get an for an oil filter for a friend's 2002 KLR 250 which he bought on a Tuesday EEK!. Every time I paid for the oil filter and then left it on the dealer's counter.

Congratulation on the new ride! There's a reason you have to walk through the showroom to get to the parts department.

In any case it sounds like the dealer owes you at least 2 filters... Razz

Dude

they made 500 more bucks off you then they should have >>>>  unless that 510 dollar difference was for more parts or clothing.   I never pay more than sticker price for a bike

but congrats on the bike.   That is a great deal for a new bike!   Let the good times roll baby!

Sales tax and motor vehicle fees, most likely.

They probably hide the filters from you so you keep coming back (and leaving with a new bike).   Lol

Congrats on the new ride!

PICS!?!?!?

Well it's been interesting. The day after my post I threw out my back. For a couple of days I could barely walk. For over a week I've been hunched over but I'm getting better. Even though I still managed to squeeze 250 miles out of the bike after a megadose of Advil. The KLR is more comfortable but the ER6 isn't bad for me, I'm 6ft tall. I see bar risers, adjustable pegs and a Corbin seat in its near future for a little extra room though. It's feels like it makes twice the power of the KLR but they weigh about the same. It has excellent stability even in strong gusty winds. First tankful averaged 55mpg. Bigsmile The KLR towers over the ER6.

The photo transfer with Photobucket seems to have distorted the top of the photos but the bikes are good it seems. So, photos it is ...
