So here it is Friday night and bloody snow still on the ground! Got a big glass of Laphroig and AC/DC on the tube. 17 days, 14 hours and 35 minutes from the Edinburgh to Buguruslan blast. What's everybody else up to in the frozen north?

Saturday morning now.  Had a snow day yesterday, snowblower got a workout, finished a welding project in the garage and then enjoyed a few ales last night (Quidi Vidi Brewing Co Eric Red's Cream Ale & Honey Brown).

Lessee...Friday night, I put a couple of pork butts on the smoker...gotta do a practice run before the Borscht Burn...(never mind the fact we were having a birthday "celebration" on Saturday).

4:00 am, I was out dealing with mechanical issues with the smoker...feed system screwed up...hadda move the pork into the oven.  (No worries, parts are already on the way--free of charge, too, as they've been "upgraded" since I bought my smoker).

Oh, well.  Everything came out fine, people arrived after noon, food and spirits were consumed, a good time was had by all, and I'm now officially a curmudgeon.

Got the Scrambler out for a little blast today and didn't crash. Would have gone farther but it's still damn chilly.

Well on the weekend I watched the women's world curling semifinals and finals on the weekend. Canada one in the semis, lost in the finals.

Monday I called the service guy at the dealership to arrange for a new rectifier when the snow melts (factory recall).

Today I received my new Rainoff overgloves in the mail. Still on my quest to find the truly waterproof glove that also doesn't soak up five pounds of water and takes three days to dry. Gave them the immerse in water for 15 minute test and they didn't leak a drop. Good sign.

Been researching a new rain suit and planning a trip to southern Washington.

All the things we do to get through the winter.

Thanks!  My biggest catch to date.  I have a great boatboy!  It has taken me years to train him but he is a keeper.  He brings the boat, fishing gear, baits my hook, takes the fish off my hook, cleans the fish, and cooks the fish.  What more could a girl want?  Smile
