No surprise.  I was ok with the headlights on the Speed Triple, but I feel somewhat affronted now that they did the same to the Street 3's.  However if they make for better performing lights (wider, fuller illumination spread), then I'm for that.  Function over form for me.  Now the flyscreens are near identical to the Speed Triple's, not of a unique shape.  Oh well, maybe they will be less expensive that way... *yeah right*

As to the new purple, I think it looks very feminine and would much prefer the return of Roulette Green.  Otoh, the Red Street-R looks very good, like a red delicious apple.

It's hard to tell if the exhaust canisters are now finished in matte, or retain their shiny stainless finish.  I would prefer the matte, but they seem to be the same shininess as before.

While the new logo font on the tank does look more modern, I still prefer the old-fashioned swooping R.  The swooping lower-cased t - it's just not the same.

Overall the changes would not prevent me from buying another, but do make me satisfied with my classic version.

They're making a huge mistake if they use that logo on all of the Urban Sport line going forward, or even just the 675 line.

It's throwing away all the history, at-a-glance iconography, etc, for no good effect.  Worse, it doesn't make a non-believer more likely to buy the bike, but it alienates the hell out of the faithful.  The faithful that's already struggling with the headlight design.

It doesn't bother me much, and I strongly dislike the new Speed (so much that I rode one two Fridays ago and promptly traded in my FJR for a 2011 round-eye model before it's too late to get one).

My main problem with the new Speed is the tank.  It's bulbous and ugly.

The new Street has the lights, but the tank still looks good.  I'm alright with that.

I agree.

If they want to introduce variations on the logo, they should have it be a dealer installed option, like how Harley has different styles of logos available on the FLH and Road King fuel tanks.

For me, I much prefer the retro-looking (though subtley updated) Triumph logo that they've used for the past twenty or so years. Much better looking!

Triumph will come to regret the changing of the headlights to the funky/ugly new style.  Changing of the Triumph signature logo on the tank is another  Thumbsdown

The only thing I like is the new Speedy flyscreen.

I will be keeping my "Classic" 2009 Streety thank you  Razz

I bought a naked to complement my Sprint today.  With me no longer needing to "wait and see" what the new naked Triples would be like, I was able to settle on a Gen 1 Tuono with no guilt.

Well I like them.  Thumbsup It's time to move on and like the Speed Triple, I think the Street looks much more modern with them.

I think that looks really good to be honest. Maybe an upgrade for my '10 at some point. Knowing the way Triumph is with replacement parts that will be an expensive upgrade. I do love the look of them though....

I like old Jeeps. The headlights were round. When they changed the headlights to the rectangles, it seemed to change the entire look of the vehicle.
These new lights seem to do the same.
When Rincewind picked up his new bike recently, I thought it was very nice to look at and I thought that this is my next bike. No question. I see this latest and I just don't get the same feeling when I look at it. It seems 'cold'.

The logo looks fine.

I find the look of the new headlights for the Speed and Street to be acceptable.

IMO, it's an evolutionary necessity for Triumph if they want to reach a broader customer base.  But now is certainly the time to pick up a "new" bug-eye if you absolutely have to.

I may be the only guy on the planet that found the concept of a store bought streetfighter a little, well, like corporate rock and roll.

The new bike isn't any worse than the old one (except the designer's insistence on drawing attention the radiator shrouds (I think that is what they are) . . . .

The log will change, and change again -- so long as they don't put the new one on the Bonnie line, it'll be fine (though I like the idea of optional logos as discussed above)

I like the new lights on the speedy with the screen in place (which I would install regardless).  With out the screen they look like they are missing a trim piece or something.  I'm not a fan of the new logo, but it wouldn't influence my purchase decision in the least.  It seems that Triumph does take customer input seriously in my experience, and if the overwhelming response is not good for the new look, it will likely change in a short period of time.  I can't knock them for trying new styling and designs, at least they are offering more than bold new colors.

I saw the new Speed Triple at the Cleveland IMS, I own a 2003, the new one ,to quote my wife " is UGLY, it looks like they added the lights and everything else as an after thought, a kit bike look" I agree . I'll keep mine.
