I was recently riding around the SW on my R1150R when I realized my tires were just not going to get me back home, especially if I encountered rain or snow (which I actually did 2 days later).

So, at 8:00 am on a Friday morning I called Sandia BMW and got the Service Advisor, John Jordan on the phone. He explained that he had a full day of service already scheduled but would see what he could do. I then headed up from Silver City, NM towards Albuquerque just in case his schedule opened up.

I arrived around 1:00 PM and he was ready to take care of my bike. I then spent some time at Twin Peaks, nearby (I highly recommend it)

(not my picture but you get the idea)

A few hours later I was rolling on new tires, had new brake pads (turns out they were near metal-to-metal) and I was heading west on Route 66.

So, many thanks to John Jordan and Sandia BMW in Albuquerque!! It was not a life or death situation but you got me back on the road in spite of a very busy day and I had a great time at Twin Peaks!  Bigok

blah blah blah dealership, More about Twin Peaks  Bigok

Lol j/k I have ridden many bikes to include BMW's and across the board I have always been made welcome and treated right regardless the brand bike I was on in a BMW shop. There are Richard Cranium's in all groups, but my personal experience has always been Grade A. OK, that's said an done, Twin Peaks???

Cheers

I think that BMW shops (especially the exclusive ones) understand and appreciate riders who are out touring.  I know I would help out a member on this board if they passed through Madison and needed something, so it's nice to see dealers doing the same
