Its the one bike I hope they don't bring to the States.

Because it will flop and they will never bring bring worthy bikes like the Transalp or Varadero.

WTF Honda?

The bike makes sense to me.  It's like a Versys, but porkier and with a more characterful engine.

The article said, "We understand Honda is developing a more dirt oriented version of the Crossrunner."  That doesn't make as much sense to me, because it's so heavy.  Keep it as a road bike, imho.

Sounds like a fun bike, I'd love to take one out.     I'm really curious to see how smooth the vtec transition really is, as described in the article it sounds like they improved the function quite a bit.      Diggin the upright ergos and large seating area.

It'll be an instant hit here with all the VFR800 lovers that were left flat with the VFR1200.  And believe it or not, there are more than a few of us that prefer a chain-driven bike over a shaft.

If they can price it in the $12k range, it will be a good alternative to the Bandit 1250, the Tiger 1050, FZ-1, etc.  It'll be very strong competition for the Tiger 800 (non XC) though higher priced, but hey, Honda owners don't mind paying more, right?  And at under 800cc, it'll be easy on insurance premiums too.

Honda needed a good all-around UJM that comes with a bit of style and engineering pedigree.  They've gotten far too specialized these days.

Somebody mentioned the Varadero?  The bike they practically can't give away since they brought it to Canada a couple years ago? You know, Canada, where big DS bikes are always popular and useful, and the buyers are used to paying too much?

If honda had stayed with the  1998- 2002 VFR it would have made sense.

You know why they can't give away Varadero's in Canada? Because the damn thing weighs as much as my FJR does.

Having taken my FJR some very unimproved gravel roads, its remarkable I don't have a hernia.

Still looking for a decently priced used WR250R up here. $8G's for a two-fitty?! I don't care how 'high' spec it is, they must be high to think I'd pay that much when for another a couple of hunderd I can buy a new Versys.

What?  It looks like a first-gen Multistrada.
