I havent even taken delivery yet, but I'm excited!  I've been without a bike the last couple of years.  My last two were VFR's(96' and 98'), later having heli's, sargent, and larger ST screen.  I'm hoping to add something for a trunk/backrest  to the K12RS to make it more accomodating for my wife as a passenger, also hoping the overall size of the bike will make a better two up touring bike.

It's also got heated grips and ABS which should be nice, having never owned a bike with either.

It does have a salvage title, but the price was reasonable and the damage very minimal.  I hope to ride it this summer and next winter tear down the final drive for inspection/lube(rebuild if needed), and go in deep after that darn main seal unless I get documentation that it's already been completed.  Basically was an ebay impulse buy in my search of a good ST mount.  Had nearly set my sights on an FJR and ended up withthis instead having ridden neither I guess I'll probably be a happy guy!

Welcome to the club. After having been a Honda man for years, gotten out of bikes and then back in, I knew what I wanted in a bike but couldn't find it in any of the Japanese M/Cs. To make a long story short, I found exactly what I was looking for in a K1200RS. Bought it new and have no intention of ever selling it. You'll find a KRS backrest at http://pirateslair.net/Stealth.htm
