How about Crystal Lake to the Crest?

Sadly probably not in our lifetime.  Sad

That part has been closed for a few years now and there's been no work done towards reopening it. Hard enough just to keep the Crest open.

Wow.  That's a nice stretch.

Is the only way to get back to backtracK?  Or is there a way to get to Hwy 2 from there?

You have to at least backtrack to East Fork Rd., but you could take that over to Glendora Mtn./Ridge......

The upper portion of 39 that connects to 2 will likely never reopen.

So JO & MO are back in town eh?  Cool

The viffergyrl, and I were up that way back in August with some of the LA Biker crew. It was hot, but fun.

A bunch of Hondas showed up:

Maybe you should go back, on the 'lightning doesn't strike twice' theory. Or, perhaps , the 'shit happens, but rarely in the same place' theory (unless we're discussing toilets..).

Any-case, it's probably a must-do, as far as getting back on the horse and all...    Thumbsup

I've been back on the horse (so to speak) since the weekend after the crash.  It's Robert who needs some saddle time.

With the amount of environmental regulation, and groups salivating about suing the state over violations of the same I'm not surprised they've given up. Hell I'm surprised they got as far as they did.

That road will never reopen in the current political/economic climate.
