No no no signore!  It is not about what you need.  Ohlins, it lets you ride her like she needs to be ridden, capische?

Per favore, think of it like a gift to your amante before a night on the town.   With the gift of Ohlins, she becomes a more willing dance partner.  She is transformed into a creature of light and air, twirling in your hands with but a thought. Che bella...

I bought the bike from the second owner who bought it a couple of years ago with 1600KM the second owner had some other really nice iron in the garage along with this one, very expensive Harley, V-Strom with 100Km, gas gas trials bike and 3 other dirt bikes. He didn't have all the history on the bike (or wasn't saying) but it was involved in some sort of dispute and that's about all I know. Liked it so much when I saw it I figured it was worth the risk. With 2500 km it's barely broken in. So far no leaks, except the fork seals which were changed last season, and it seems to run perfect. I can't wait to get it plated and scoot down to your place, but I am going to be patient and wait until the roads are bit cleaner

That bit towards the end where the viewer is allowed to contemplate the hanging tie-downs desperation, trying to chime out in harmony to the Guzzi rumble? C'est magnifique!

Nice bike. I wouldn't let that thing sit there and idle too long. That's an AIR COOLED engine and it ain't moving there. That's the reason the put fans in the room where you have the bike on a Dyno. But your bike your $$$.

I wouldn't worry about it idling either. The engine isn't being loaded at all.

Neither would I idle an engine forever, but think about how much air flows over a lawn mower engine's fins, and those things run almost wide open at walking speed.

thanks for your concern, good point but  you may have noticed though lots of wind and the white shit on the ground, over heating wasn't a problem. Lots of experience with air cooled bikes over the last 30 years or so. Though I am not a expert on themal dynamics I suspect the design of this engine will allow enough heat transfer for it to idle for a minute or 2 such as at a stop light

I think the correct form is: "Sė paesano, sė, io capisco... Molto bene!"
but, I reckon, the main difficulty between latins (Italian/Spanish) and anglo-saxons is from how the words are written to how are spoken... expecially the vowels are very different...

Oh I am leaning that way, as long as no one runs into me at the Tim Hortons parking lot   :pokestick:  oops was that out loud?

that darn KTM is so much fun though it will be a tough choice, but I think the Guzzi needs to see a few things around the kootenays besides it's getting to hard to stay in front of Jim now that he has the feel of the 950

I finally got out for a couple hours on the Rosso Corsa, what a great piece of machinery, love almost everything about it, except the footpeg position. The PO moved them down and back it's a comfortable position but very awkward using the brake and tough downshifting. I think I will put them back in the stock positions or find an after market set, any thoughts from other Lemans guys

I've got the V11 Sport and not the decadent LeMans  Wink, but lots of folks have used Buell footpegs to lower the position straight down about an inch.  I bought the pegs but haven't installed them yet.  Just waiting for the arthritis to get a bit worse before I do.  Razz
