I got my 06 Firebolt last summer and was pleased at how well my tankbag fits.

You don't have to remove it for fueling and it in no way impedes airflow to the vent.  I don't care for the looks of Buell's tankbag, just thought I'd share an alternative.

Quality of the bag is tops, too.  Has lots of functional pockets and gadgets, map window, etc.

I agree, have the same one myself that stays on there all the time.  I also have the larger version for times whan I need to carry more.

I have a "Buell" tankbag for my 'Bolt, but in truth I prefer to ride without it; it only goes on when I need the extra capacity.  I prefer the tailbag (also "Buell") which is on my bike pretty much 24/7.  You can see it on the bike in the pic (note, it's not zipped closed in the pic--my camera is one of the things I carry in it).

I never ride without one you never know when you need to carry something or pick something up.

Thats what I love most about my S3t.  Those two massive hard bags, each big enough to swallow a full face helmet + the contents of a small tank bag.

I agree with CBRXXBLACKBIRD.  I have a Buell expandable tank bag on the X1 and it stays on all the time.  Recently, I purchased a tail bag for a multi state tour.

No relationship with Motorcycle-Superstore.com but bought the tail bag from them too.  Also, I have used newenough.com in the past as well.

I've got the Buell deluxe tank bag on my Ulysses.

It fits perfectly and is well-constructed, but I don't like the angle of the top - it's almost impossible to put a map or trip notes in the pouch and still be able to read it.

I'm a tank bag junkie - I have to have one, and I only remove it to wash the bike!
