I am trying to mount my Droid to my bike (FZ1). I have found a few mounts but I am skeptical of the quality. I use my phone for music with earbuds, not really making calls while riding but would like access to the phone for volume control, changing channel and navigation app. Until now, I have put it in my tank bag but that is a bit cumbersome to access while riding. Does anyone have a product or solution that they recommend to solve my dilemma?

Thanks,
Tim

I made a mount out of aluminum channel.  It works OK, but the volume control is tough.  First I bought one on eBay for about 20 bucks made the same way, but it must have the case off to fit in the cradle, and that is a bit of a PIA.  I like the case.  I simply attached a RAM mount to both of them.

+1 on the RAM mount.  Plus you could use it to mount a GPS or camera if you needed.  www.ram-mount.com/

They might have a mount for your particular phone or maybe a universal one something like this?  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/tech-data/B002KETWIU

I am using techmount.com and it is really nice.  Using it on a Concours.

I picked up a RAM-HOL-PD3U for use with my iPhone 4 which I keep in a case. It works well and seems to be secure (so far).
