I'm getting my first bike (a 2006 SV650s) in June.  Is this one of few filters that fit the bike?

Just looking for a bit more information to help educate me.

Thanks.

I was doing some research a while back and found it odd that Suzuki uses an odd threading on their oil filters. I ran across a link for an adapter to "fix" the issue, but I never did follow up to find any reviews on it.

Headscratch  Nothing odd AFAIK. I've owned two SV650's and a DL650 - the same Fram and Purolator oil filters
fit them both as well as the Honda GL1800.

Thanks, when I did a quick search in Google I did find that same Purolator model number referenced at the SVRider Forum.  I haven't registered there yet but I've thought about it.

I'm buying the bike from my brother-in-law who lives a few states away which is why I have to wait until June.
