Do other States have an Official Motorcycle?   Headscratch

Does this law-maker know that HD is a brand and not a specific motorcycle?

Didn't HD just threaten to leave PA?  And then once they decided to stay, didn't they cut half of their jobs?

Wouldn't it help of they were HQ'd here? If anyone should get this, shouldn't it be 'ScAnsIn?

There was a 2009 bill proposed in Wisconsin - I'm not sure if it passed or not.  http://legis.wisconsin.gov/2009/data/SB-394.pdf

Or, at least, a South Park fan.

Yes and yes. Well, actually, not "just."  I think it was 2008, as the economy was collapsing. PA and the union came through with concessions to keep the plant open. I think the final "temporary" layoffs numbered about 300. They reinterviewed and rehired some as "casual" workers last year.

It would be nice to get some kind of benefit other than a waste of paper.   Bigok

I live in PA. I have no problem with Harley Davidson motorcycles (except for those idiots with straight pipes). It would be nice if everyone in the state got to vote if we want an official bike and a second vote for what kind of bike we want as an official bike instead of some dumbass political idiot decided this on his own. I would much rather have them spend money on repairing the crumbling roads and infrastructure instead of wasting money talking about something like this.

I rode up to the Factory at York last fall , it was a wonderful 7 state ride .  (left my FJR at home and rode the HD)
I'd say a good 95% of the bikes I  saw in PA and the surrounding area were Harley's .  I'll have to admit the roads there are well suited to the slower pace .

I'm really not in favor with making consumer items into State Symbols.  The whole idea seems bad and opens the gates for other corporations to lobby for inclusion.  What's next?  Auntie Anne's the soft pretzel of PA?  Yuengling the beer of PA?  (ok, that's one I can get behind).  Martin Guitars the official guitar of PA?  Hershey the official chocolate of PA, and crayola the official crayon of PA?  Zippo the Lighter of PA?

Then again, we have the Slinky as the Official State Toy, so who knows.

What other States could get Official Motorcycles?

Yeah Harleys and the associated crowd in PA is kinda like a skin mole or a wart.

It's there, pretty much annoying, but it ain't going away and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it so
you just try to ignore it.
