I edited my replay b/c I got a pm on another site about this ride.  I posted over there on Mr. McBride's thread Ga-Bandit.  Trying to keep things simple so there's no need in you having to relay the info over there when I can post it myself.

Thanks for the invite

I understand.  The reason I posted there was b/c I saw the route.  I didn't want to ride to Dawsonville, ride all day & then have a ride home from Dawsonville.  Once I saw the route was headed toward Clayton, then I knew I was good to go.

I'm going to try to do everything I can to make it.  Its going to take some sweet talking to my wife b/c its Mother's Day weekend.  Trying to convince her to celebrate Mother's Day, she needs to spend some time alone with our two young daughters.    Bigsmile

I figured there would be people all over this. I guess that explains some of my grades in school.

Between here and the Blokes site, I'm sure Rodney will have a nice sized group together.

From my experience, people post on here all the time about riding.  I've yet to meet up & ride with anyone.  I can't say anything b/c I wasn't going until I saw the route.

I met Rodney through this site but I never started riding with him until after I joined Bloke's.

I wasn't going until I saw the route.

that's nothing compared to what we ride during the long days of summer. We HATE interstates and the same ole same ole that everyone rides. There are way too many roads to explore to ride just the "loop".

I look forward to meeting you then.

I've ridden with St.Ners at least 7 or 8 times and always had a good time. Part of the problem may be just that we tend to meet here in Atlanta in the a.m. and there just aren't nearly as many S.C. folks overall.  Shrug

I think you're probably right.  I don't mind meeting someone mid route.  That's what I did when I rode with Rodney & some others last time.  On their way to the Dragon, I met them in Franklin NC.

I live in SC but I live 11 miles north of the GA/SC state line.  I ride the N Ga mountains all the time.  I'm about 45 mins to Clayton & I can be at Blood Mtn in a couple hrs.  I'm 60 miles from Highlands so meeting out of the way isn't too bad as long as the route is headed somewhat toward home.  One this particular ride, extending the way point to include Clayton is definitely doable.  I didn't want to ride to Dawsonville, ride all day & then have to ride home from Dawsonville.

I've only met 2 people through this site. One I would never want to ride with and the other has become a good friend that I love to ride with.

yep, great ride, it was nice to meet you.

If either of you that rode wants a video just shot me an address. They're too large to post and I can't edit that much w/o affecting the flow. The last video of everyone isn't too good, I set my camera too low so that means another ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with better gopro positioning.
