12 hours ago, I was skiing in corn snow at Sutton… So I'm a little behind with the anouncement and planning.

But book your calendars now as SNOB II will be held from July 29 to August 1st.

I am in  Smile (providing of course work doesn't interfere).  I will be riding up on Friday and Home on Sunday.

I will be riding a new stead as my old one has been laid to rest.

The calendar at home has it written in ink.  The work schedule can be fiddled with (I may feel a little faint on 29th).  

Now we just need to knock wood, dance a jig, keep our fingers crossed, etc, for good weather.

Miranda and I will be there. We'll leave home on Thursday and have our first crack at bike camping together at Presqu'ile. We'll see how that goes.
We'll be in Sutton on Friday, and head for home on Sunday.
I'm hoping to take the XS 650 but we'll see how that goes.

Got room for a Hennessy Hammock?  And some surrounding real estate to act as a sound suppressor....

Not that I snore or anything...it's just that the hammock is new and you know how these things squeak / groan etc until they're all broken in and such....

PS #1:  Also...as the date approaches, would welcome the oppt'y to link up with others arriving from the Ct / RI/ Eastern Ma area...

PS #2:  What can we bring?  And (please) don't say "nothing"...it's bad form to arrive empty-handed.

I will meet up with you if your talking Friday.  Springfield is about 1 hour from my house. Northampton (on a good day) is about 90 minutes.  Work with that time framing and see what you can come up with.   Cool

looks like I will be riding down Saturday, staying at least 1 night, will confirm once I have better feeling of things here

I was around Placid today, main roads were getting heavy with traffic, did a detour up 30 to St Regis Falls, beautiful day.

I was trying to get Sue to agree to attend SNOB II with me when she reminded me that we're going to the U2 concert in Moncton on Saturday July 30.  Oops! Forgot about that.  

The things we do for our wives eh!   Lol

One weekends to go! I'm writing this from Sutton, where I've escaped from the city and it's heat.

How do you guys feel about 7.8 miles of gravel? I drove through Hazen's Notch, VT earlier this week. Wow, I really had the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. Gravel is packed hard, a few potholes and the longest section of loose gravel was 50 yards long.
Found a great, 10-mile county road between Richford VT and Montgomery VT. Can't wait to ride it on two wheels.
Lastly, for our Sunday ride into NH, I've read somewhere about a great local road that goes east from N. Conway. Rings a bell?

Still working on a QC loop for Saturday that doesn't involve too many straight lines. Wish me luck!

East from N. Conway sounds like Hurricane Mountain Road.  I once described it to someone as a cross between a stair master and a roller coaster.  You can get both wheels off the ground.

Another good road, south out of Bartlett, is Bear Notch Road.  Bear Notch got repaved last year.

No sweat.  I am going to be in VT (Staying in Stowe) from 18 August to 21 August. I am sure we can arrange something.  Unless you really are looking forward to visiting CT.   Lol
