Hi there, this is my first post on this forum.
My girlfriend and I are going to the south of France for a well earned holiday on the beach in August.
The ferry lands in Cherbourg at 3.30pm and we reckon it will take us the rest of the day and all the next day to get down to Cap d'Agde where we are staying.
I have two questions.
How far will we be able to get on the first day riding a ZZR1100 (ZX11 to our American friends) at more or less legal speeds?
How much is it going to cost in tolls on the motorways?
I want to keep to the motorways on the way down and get there asap, we have three days to do the return trip. If anyone has done this trip recently, your thoughts would be welcome.
Cheers.

Not sure about the exact cost of tolls, but figure on £20 to be on the safe side.

Travel time is about 10 hours 20 minutes to 11 hours as per speed limits and without road work delays and waiting in line to pay the toll(s). Toll queues will be lengthy and time consuming as the whole of France will be on holiday too. Add petrol and lunch stops to the time as well. Photo stops? Its going to be blazing hot and even unzipped, the wind will not cool you down and there's never shade at the tolls = so lots of liquids.

Its a long, hot, boring 2 days for sure.
