I'm making two trips to Boise to drop off my bikes. One route will be through eastern NV and other will be through NorCal/Oregon. The third route I had in mind was through Salt Lake City via the 15. I would like to take the most scenic routes while still making good time. The central valley will be a grind, but I'm hoping NorCal will make up for it. I've already been to the areas in NorCal, so I guess I'd like to know if the trip up the 15 through Salt Lake will be just as scenic. I'm willing to ditch the NorCal route and hit it again once I settle in Boise.

I'm going to ride through eastern Nevada using the Duc since it's been stone reliable. I have a little more hesitation with the Buell since it's already stranded me once. So, I would like to be relatively close to services.

Thoughts?

Route 1 in late May. (the Duc)

Route 2 in early June. (the Buell)

Maybe I should see a psychiatrist so he/she can help me identify what it is I'm running from. That way I'll know exactly how far I need to ride and be done with it!

Looks like fun. The section between Las Vegas and Wendover is a little sparse on fuel stops, so plan accordingly.
