Coat rack bench, or storage chest with coat rack.

http://www.coatrackshack.com

Even referred to as a hall tree on some of those, although it is not a typical tree style coat rack.

"Lone White Towel on Hall Tree Peg", if you wanted to give it a title.

I think the spacing of the pegs, and the lone towel symbolizes that we are alone, and even the closest others can come to us is some distance apart.  The almost currency green finish of the hall tree is a metaphor, explaining that even surrounded by money we will still be alone, and of course the wall and floor treatments are symbolic of how hard life is for each of us.  The closed door speaks of choices made, while the half-glimpsed staircase hints at redemption and growth being just out of reach.

That, or it's just plain racist, a white towel surrounded by green being supported by a brown peg.

And there's a possibility that I may have dated too many art school chicks back in the day and accidently retained what they were nattering on about.

That would be real handy if the bench opened up for storage below.

Looks like a Mission style piece to me.

You have missed your calling. Add a few slightly more impenetrable metaphors and you could teach art criticism.  Bigok

Put down the intardnet, and go outside and ride!
