125cc five cylinder? I imagine valve springs were easy to find- they just swiped a bunch of ball-point pens from the office and cannibalized them.

Is it just me or is he moving his wrist the wrong way to rev that?

Post on USGPRU forum with price:
****************
RMD Motors Japan is taking orders for the new 2012 Honda NSF250R. Price for the bike will be 1,840,000 Japanese Yen.
First orders start from June, 9th 2011-July, 6th 2011. The second order date starts from July 11th, 2011-?.
Delivery to our shop in Japan will be in December this year. All of the info will be up on our website in the next couple of days.
We also have a few new RS125R available. Price for a bike is 1,100,000 Japanese Yen.
************
That makes the price a little shy of $23K.
RMD has some nice eye candy:

It was a fiendish scheme by Honda to make the riders pay attention to their duties.

I *think* it had to do with a rider who had some type of hand/wrist injury that brought about the alteration.
kinda like Doohan's famous thumb brake when he had leg injuries.
that doesn't explain why they left it on the bike. I may be imagining the whole thing.

Is is maybe the audio being so far out of sync with the video that the rising revs sound coincides with the closing of the throttle motion???
I dunno???
