What I did last year this month... coming home from a BMW dealership Xmas party... it's wild having to clear snow off your visor...

Even crazier when you get off your bike and all the ice due to freezing rain comes crumbling off your rain suit. Quite the odd feeling.

I hope they didn't salt the roads when your were out. It does a real number on the hot aluminium engine cases, especially where any steel fastener is located. Luckily it was a beater bike which I used all winter up here...where we get some serious snow.

They didn't salt that day, and do try to avoid the salt, but ride in it sometimes anyway.  Not as bad as you think.  It's the salt water splashing that's bad, if it stays on for long periods.  Water is the prob.
Soo.... in winter, I look for sunny dry road conditions to spin the oil.

That pic above, the snow kinda caught me by surprise.  Fortunately, the Xmas party at the dealership was only 5 miles away.
Had serious pucker factor pulling into the sub, roads were fully covered.
Almost didn't make it up the driveway, got kind of a small bump/ditchy kind of thing at the driveway/street interface.  Had to get running start to traverse it!  Otherwise, rear just slid around trying to get over the hump, almost lost it several times.

Overall..... would not recommended snow traveling on two wheels!
(unless ice racing)

Ahem, sidecar, fella, sidecar.  You'll soon wish for it to snow.   Thumbsup
