Spent a few days in Malaga and my hotel was a block from a KTM dealership. Had a look around and noticed this
http://www.ktm.com/125/125-duke-eu/highlights.html Quite a tasty looking bike!
Scads of scooters buzzing about and they seem to have no restrictions on where they go, the promenade by the beach , for instance. Lots of small bikes, quite a few Harleys suprisingly (to me). More cruisers and nakeds than sport bikes. Saw several Africa Twins, the most common dual sport it appeared to me.

'Nuther fan of the mini-Duke here  Thumbsup.

There appear to be no license requirements for the kids that drive those scooters in Spain.
Crazy drivers, and clouds of scooters in inexperienced hands, yet a daily read of the papers showed no carnage?  Headscratch
Maybe they just don't report such things.

Seems like European drivers are just more aware and don't seem to have the rage issues North American drivers do. Then too, there are lots of kids on scooters but I saw lots of older men riding scooters to work, I assume. The scooters filter through traffic and nobody seems to mind.

Yeah! I saw that last year on the KTM 'preview' list. Early reports say that it isn't too bad and the fact that it is built in India may not be a strike against it.

I somehow doubt that it will ever be imported into North America, never mind Canukland. I suppose with the popularity of Honda 125's and 250's though... you can never tell for sure...

It would make the ideal commuter bike for many. I imagine if I got my hands on one, my license would be gone in a month though...
(I don't think the mirrors are supposed to be THAT big though Headscratch)
