I'm sure that as we speak the Japanese mfgs are redesigning their V-twin cruisers to incorporate this 'feature' to make them more authentic.

My money is on Kawi beating the others to the punch, seeing that their all new liquid cooled 1700cc vtwin in the Vaquero makes 60hp.  Those boys know what they're doing.

Not that far off... I believe I read somewhere that the Vaquero eliminates both the cush drive and the clutch basket springs found on their other models so the 'vibrations' will be felt by the rider.

Yeah, it's more a gearing issue than a power issue. I actually haven't ridden a 96. I rode my brother's 110 screamin-beagle and it was a lot of fun.
