Found a deal on CL to satisfy that itch... I've just always wanted a 250 - mostly out of principle.

Here's how I bought her -

Took off the plastics to replace with stockers, and kinda like her nakedish.  Threw some bags and she's almost good.  She's still lacking a front fender (in transit), grips (where the hell did I put that friction tape?), mirrors (maybe the bar ends I have laying around) and some other stuff, but you get the idea.

Only rode her for a few miles so far, but thought it was a fun bike.  At the end of the day - she'll probably just be a commuter (whopping 15 miles a day) while I work on the KLR project, so it doesn't even matter how much I like her, so long as she runs.   Thumbsup

Definitely looks better without that paint job. Bare looks good on the 250. Congrats

Ninjette with no plastics looks great!  You've got me seriously thinking about one for my 23 mile each way commute, half highway half urban.

Yeah - it's really easy though if you start with Givi Wingrack II's.  One hole bolted up to the pax foot peg area, and made a 2" extension to go off some tail section bolt hole.  Off the back there is a length of tubular steel mounted b/w the two wingracks for more support, but you could probably skip that if you had to - though it'd be more prone to break if you had to lay'er down.
