Okay, no diatribes about how my 1930s BSA had a coat of paint as hard as iron and coach work like it well never happen again-because it won't. And yes, your 1930s BSA was finished much better than anything made today.

This poll is only interested in the best finish-paint, chrome etc-on modern bikes. But that's over the last 20 years. Has Honda got worse, is BMW bullshit?

Have your say.

Not going to lie..I like my Suzuki... but I fear for its paint job and pretty parts... I do not think it will have the longevity of my 80's Hondas

50,000 miles and 5 years on my BMW and after a good detailing it looks new.  Very impressed with the fit and finish.  Some are better than others but I think most will stay looking good if you stay on top of cleaning.  I just consider it maintenance for the finish.

Grief-Suzuki is in the lead! And I polished an SV650 a couple of years ago and the paint came off!

Methinks, Triumph, Guzzi and Victory are the best.

I went with BMW in first place,  Thumbsup but baed on my R1100S which is ten years old this year so maybe not a picture of today's Beemers.

The R11S is very well finished.  The only things that got funky on mine were the exhaust headers where they leave the cylinders, which browned up nicely but still worked just fine.  All of the fasteners looked great without any rust or various nastiness.

And Aprilia in second place.   Thumbsup I'm most familar with that brand and the plastic and metal parts seem to last well.  Even the fasteners that I think look cheesy (and they've put on a few) don't seem to corrode so maybe they're not as cheesy as they look.   Lol

BMW is clearly the best in all categories. quality of materials, workmanship, fit and finish.......You pay out the nose for them but you seem to get what you pay for. I've owned 5 of them from the '79 up to '09 and they are consistently good.
