Apologies to Black C-14 and Beemers

A Black C-14 leading 3 other Bikes(at least 2 were Beemers I believe) rolled by my house on Shoals Branch in western Williamson Co. Tenn. at 9:32 AM. I was just suiting up to take the Wing up the Trace to pick up a Female companion......FOR THE FIRST TIME! I DID NOT want to be late. I had no clue I would catch those guys by the time I got to the end of my Road(2.5 miles). But they turned right headed east on 46 and that happened to be the way I was headed .......... and wanting to go at a much brisker pace. So I ended up passin' all 4 in the next 1.5 miles. I know you were just Puttin'! No disrespect! I was just in a hurry. I know what the C-14 will do.....in a curve and on a straight-away.  Anyway, apologies if you're Members of this Forum.
And if NOT,  beware crazy Wing Riders!

While I'm not a Wing owner myself, I have witnessed the hysteria of a Wing owner in the probability that he may be late to Dairy Queen.

Got ya!       And yes I did know the Road ...... very well!  AND, as it turns out the C-14 Rider knows the Road probably as well. I met him this morning at Pucketts in Leiper's Fork. I live 12 miles west of there, and he lives 5 miles east.  As I originally suspected they were Puttin' back to LF after pushing the Bikes on some of our pretty darn challenging twisties. AND that's when I showed up. John told me there were no hard feelings among any of the Riders, including his 75 yr old Dad, that was bringin' up the rear.  Which made me feel pretty good.  That means this 58 yr old can still blow by a unsuspecting 75 yr old IF i get a good run at him!     Glad I ran into that Guy. He didn't act like he was on this Forum.

I'd say you wouldn't have had a problem, if as the other poster commented, you know the Road.
Later that Sat. we ran into one of your Fellow GS's with the 1200 variety down at Jackson Falls.  I'd like to try that 800 sometime. Very interesting Bike. But I suspect my hard-core off-road adventures are long behind me.  I don't do well in Creeks for some reason.

I find the G8GS to be quite a capable bike.  Thought I'd really be hurting going from my Duc ST4s to this thing, but it's a different kind of ride.  Oh I still mss the Duc.  But not because of the inadequacies of the GS. After a few hundred miles in the wind this weekend, I was really missing the ST.
The 'smaller' GS is way fun in most situations.  It'll go where the small DS bikes do.  Creeks included.  Yet tour and eat up the road miles as well.  Mine is outfitted with DS knobbies.  Might get more of a street-biased DS tire next time.  I'll keep an eye out for you.  I'm about the same distance away from Puckett's, toward the East.  Although I must say, I tend to keep away from there on the weekends.  It's like going to The Dragon these days.  Kind-of a circus atmosphere.  (Which is okay if you like that sort of thing.)

Well, I tend to agree with you about the Dragon and Puckett's but a SportBike Group meets there on Sunday Mornings so I usually attend and size up the attendees to see whether I want to Ride with or in the same direction.  But I much prefer exploring Back Roads that I haven't been on. AND doing it at a saner speed.  The problem with new scenery; it's further and further from my house. And I have more limited time and finances as time goes on. So the 5-600 mile days running through neighboring States are pretty much a thing of the Past. Thank goodness I took some photos along the way. Helps jog the memory.
